TSPC Renewal Information for Licensed Staff

For all TSPC-licensed staff, please remember that maintaining a current license is the responsibility of the individual license holder. The CSD Employee Handbook requires licensed employees to obtain, maintain, and renew the licenses, endorsements, authorizations, and credentials required for their assignments.

TSPC is the licensing authority, so employees must work directly with TSPC regarding their individual license, renewal requirements, application status, and questions about what is needed. Oregon law also requires the District to ensure employees serving in licensed positions are appropriately licensed and assigned (ORS 342.173).

Please periodically check your TSPC eLicensing account and do not wait until your license is about to expire to begin the renewal process.

If TSPC requires a Professional Educator Experience Report (PEER), please submit an HR Help Desk ticket so HR can complete the District portion. As part of that request, please attach your completed Professional Development Unit (PDU) Log/Certificate.

The PEER form is completed by the District and is used to verify educator experience and continuing professional development. The PDU Log is completed by the employee and provides the professional development information CSD maintains in its records and uses when completing PEER information. List the professional development activity, date completed, and number of PDUs. One clock hour of professional development equals one PDU.

TSPC has temporarily suspended the requirement for educators with licenses expiring before July 1, 2029 to report evidence of continuing professional development directly to TSPC. However, TSPC continues to advise districts and ESDs to submit PEER forms and include PDUs earned by educators.

CSD therefore continues to require licensed staff to maintain and submit a PDU log for District professional development records and for use in completing PEER information. Please keep your PDU information current and submit your completed log when requesting a PEER form from HR.
