Long-Range Facilities Planning
Long-Range Facilities Planning
The Centennial School District is currently participating in a long-range facilities planning process, in consultation with the DLR Group. The purpose of the long-range facilities planning process is to align our facilities planning with the Roadmap ‘27 strategic plan and long-term District goals, as well as ensuring our facilities are equitable, sustainable, and meet future educational needs.
Key Focus Areas of Long-Range Facilities Planning:
- Equity: Ensuring all students have access to high-quality learning environments.
- Sustainability: Making decisions that are cost-effective and environmentally responsible.
- Community Engagement: Incorporating feedback from staff, students, parents, and the broader community.
The current Long-Range Facilities Planning process is designed to identify priorities that will build upon the work previously completed through the 2020 Bond. Click below to learn more about the completion of the 2020 Bond projects.

Timeline of Long-Range Facilities Planning
Phase 1: Needs Assessment (Fall 2025-Current)
The Needs Assessment phase is focused on gathering data and assessing the current status of District facilities. This phase includes:
- School site visits School staff and department listening sessions
- Capacity and utilization studies
- Educational Alignment Summit
Phase 2: Facilities Advisory Committee Meetings (Spring-Fall 2026)
This phase includes meetings of the Facilities Advisory Committee, who will be instrumental in the development of the District’s Facilities Master Plan.
Phase 3: Community Engagement (Fall 2026)
As the District’s Facilities Advisory Committee continues to develop the District’s Facilities Master Plan, we will host two Community Forums, where all members of the Centennial community are invited to share their feedback to inform ongoing plan refinement.
Additional stakeholder engagement, including student feedback and equity-based affinity group listening sessions, will occur at various times across these three phases.
Facilities Advisory Committee
The Centennial School District has formed a Facilities Advisory Committee as part of our Long-Range Facilities Planning process. Committee members provide important feedback to ensure that our facilities are equitable, sustainable, and meet future educational needs. This Committee will also be involved in developing a long-range facilities plan recommendation for our Board of Directors, in an advisory capacity.
The Facilities Advisory Committee has held two meetings this spring, with an additional meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 30. The Committee will reconvene in the fall of 2026 for additional meetings. To see the presentations from previous meetings of the Facilities Advisory Committee, please seek the links below.
Educational Summit - October 29, 2025
As part of our ongoing Long-Range Facilities Planning process, on October 29, 2025 Centennial School District hosted an Educational Summit. This event brought together District leaders and instructional experts to explore the connection between the District’s educational vision and the types of facility spaces we need to support that vision.
Participants at the Educational Summit engaged in collaborative activities designed to reflect on our current practices, imagine future possibilities, and help shape the criteria that will guide future school facility investments.
