Connect to Kindergarten - May 1, 2025

Join us for our Connect to Kindergarten event, happening Thursday, May 1, 2025 at all Centennial School District elementary schools. 

5:00-6:00pm – School tours

6:00-7:00pm – Online registration assistance available (optional)

During this event, you can:

  • Meet Principals & Teachers
  • Learn what to expect during Kindergarten
  • Tour your child’s school
  • Explore a school bus
  • Visit a Kindergarten classroom
  • Receive registration information
  • Register for the Early Kindergarten Transition (EKT) program. EKT dates will be available in May.

Kindergarten Information

Welcome to Centennial School District! 

At Centennial School District, we know registering a child for Kindergarten is an exciting time for families, but it can also raise many questions. Stay tuned for our 2025-2026 Kindergarten Connect event, coming soon to each of our elementary schools!

Any child who will be five (5) years of age on or before September 1 is eligible to enroll in Kindergarten at their designated neighborhood school. Find your school here- Centennial School District Attendance Area Map/ School Locator.

For instructions on registering for Kindergarten, please go to our Registration Information Page. After submitting the online form, the school will contact you to complete the process. If you would like your child to participate in the Early Kindergarten Transition (EKT) program (more information below), please indicate by checking the box on the registration page. The dates for EKT will be available in May. There will be additional information available at the Connect to Kindergarten event.

All Kindergartners must have a completed 'Family Member Meeting Kindergartner' form. They can be found under Required Forms.

Early Kindergarten Transition (EKT)

The Early Kindergarten Transition Programs (EKT) are 2-3 week free summer programs for children AND their parents/caregivers entering kindergarten at amany SUN Community Schools across the county. If you would like your child to participate in EKT, please indicate by checking the box on the registration page. There will be additional information available at the Connect to Kindergarten event.

The dates and times for the Centennial School District EKT program will be announced in May.

The EKT program is based around two core components:

  1. Class Time for Children – Children meet teachers, make new friends, and get familiar with kindergarten skills, routines, and expectations.
     
  2. Family Engagement Activities - Parents/caregivers participate in group engagement and other activities to learn about kindergarten and the school, ways to support learning at hoe, and meet school staff and other parents.
