May 19, 2025 Bargaining Update
The Centennial and CEA bargaining teams met on May 19, 2025, for their eighth bargaining session. The parties made some progress towards a TA on the following Articles:
- Article 5 – Employee Rights
- Article 6 – Personnel Files
- Article 9 – Employee Evaluation
The District made the following counter proposals:
- Article 13 – Instruction
- Article 16 – Compensation
- District counter proposal for cost of living increases:
- July 1, 2025: 2.5% (0.5% higher than the District’s 3.17.25 proposal)
- July 1, 2026: 2.25% (0.25% higher than the District’s 3.17.25 proposal)
- July 1, 2027: 2.25% (0.25% higher than the District’s 3.17.25 proposal)
- Increase the contract’s “kicker” wage increase language to increase potential State School Fund increase from 9.951B to 11.9B.
- Add multi-language incentive in the amount of $2,000 per year for qualifying educators.
- District counter proposal for cost of living increases:
The Parties TA’d the following Articles:
- Article 7 – Complaint Procedure
- Article 19 – Paid Leaves of Absence
The District also presented a Salary Data PowerPoint, which corrected the errors in CEA’s prior market study data that was shared with the District on May 5.
Next Session
The next sessions will take place on June 23, 24, and 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Centennial Middle School and is open to licensed and administrative staff.
