Student Medication at School
Students needing medication during the school day must follow the state law stipulated guidelines:
- Parents must provide a written request and instructions signed by the child’s doctor before prescription medication can be administered at school. The form is available in the school office.
- A written request from parents is required before non-prescription medication or any dietary supplement can be administered at school.
- Parents must deliver the medication to the school office. Students may not bring their own medication.
- Medication must be in the original prescription container. No envelopes or other containers are permitted. The child will only be given the recommended dosage on the prescription label.
For assistance with student medications, please contact the office at your child’s school.
